The dynamics of creating effective, yet desirable, vehicle choice lists and policies have never been so complex.
Government taxation, and the cars that manufacturers are producing, are driving us towards ever greener vehicles, placing us on the cusp of the most significant shift in the cars we drive since combustion engine vehicles were first introduced.
With most retention policies lasting 3 to 4 years, this move towards ultra-low emission (ULEV) and electric vehicles (EVs) must be factored in as part of a robust and future-proofed vehicle policy.
Yet, traditional petrol and diesel cars remain hugely popular, with many drivers having concerns over the viability of ULEVs and EVs for their job roles and lifestyles.
Add to this, the intense interest in the car policy and overall fleet operation from HR, finance, sales, operations, customer service and risk, and you find there’s a lot of people to please when getting the choice lists right.
At KINTO, we have extensive experience of developing choice lists, grade bandings and advising on policies for organisations large and small, across private, public and not-for profit sectors.
The policies we have created enable our customers to operate within tight budgets, attract and retain the right calibre of staff and meet their operational and service needs.

Since implementing KINTO Autobid, we have been able to save significant time when searching for contract hire quotes. The system’s user friendly interface has made it easy for us to obtain competitive quotations from a panel of funders. We have been particularly impressed by the speed of response and how easy this system is to use. It is early days for us, but we are optimistic that cost savings can be made on our vehicle acquisitions and we will work closely with KINTO to track and report these savings.

KINTO have been running our fleet for some time now and provide a great service, tailored to our specific requirements, supported by an informed customer service team. We have been particularly pleased at how they have engaged with us in seeking staff feedback during a review of vehicle suitability that will support us in reducing the overall CO2 level of the fleet.

As we use the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) Portal the pricing is always competitive but KINTO are always good on pricing. The customer service we received is outstanding and the order process seems to be quicker than most other companies. We receive constant updates throughout the order process and arranging delivery is always quick and simple. Our account manager is always on hand to help with general queries and questions and always replies quickly. They have far exceeded our expectation with the customer service they provide. This is the main reason I would recommend KINTO.

We decided to implement KINTO Autobid due to the innovative nature of the product. It meets all the requirements of our business, ensuring continuous best value whilst offering all the benefits of a sole supply agreement. This innovative tendering solution has enabled us to save both time and costs, whilst offering our drivers an enjoyable, consistent ordering journey. KINTO is a valued partner, continuously looking for ways to improve our fleet operation – as demonstrated perfectly by Autobid!

The on-boarding process was very good and I can’t fault the way it was project managed for us; the regular meetings and discussions were excellent and gave me great confidence that we would be able to achieve the switchover in a successful manner. The legal implications and contractual issues were also well controlled and communicated, leaving me in no doubt that everything would be covered off – which it was. In terms of timescales the on-boarding exercise is not particularly quick but I never expected it to be so. Any supplier claiming that the process will be completed very quickly will not be going about it properly and that’s where KINTO inspire a high level of confidence because the project is mapped out in detail and demonstrates that they know what they’re talking about. This is particularly true where we required bespoke consideration to our particular needs for which KINTO took the trouble to consider our requirements carefully. One key thing that KINTO do well is they keep the original Business Development Manager in the on-boarding process for a long period of time to ensure that the requirements discussed pre-tender and during the tender are kept in focus and fully understood. In terms of disruption to our day to day activities, switching from our old Fleet Management Company to KINTO has not really caused any problems.

After having a long-standing relationship with our previous fleet management provider we took the decision to move to KINTO last year. With a fleet size in excess of 1200 vehicles this was a significant undertaking. As part of the tender process we visited the KINTO office on two occasions where we were able to see the support network from end to end which helped provide assurance regarding the level of service our drivers would receive. During the implementation, KINTO put in place a project manager, supported by a formal project governance structure and regular meetings with us, to monitor progress to ensure we remained on track. The transition to a new customer support helpline and online service was seamless and we immediately saw a large reduction in the number of calls received from drivers by our in-house fleet team. Apart from the time spent assisting KINTO in pulling together the information they required to set our fleet up on their systems, there were no other costs with the move. I have no doubt that, as well as freeing up our fleet team for other activities, there will be further cost savings along the way.

We needed to move the contract from our incumbent fleet provider to KINTO within a short timeframe. The transfer was completed very quickly and efficiently by the KINTO project management team who also ensured that all legal issues were dealt with in a timely manner to ensure there was no delay in the mobilisation. We provided our requirements, policies and internal processes to the project management team who subsequently implemented our needs with minimal impact to the business. All cost of change was restricted to the fleet department, ensuring that there was no decline in productivity to the business as a whole. The KINTO price structure has also enabled us to make savings to our fleet operational costs. The service provided by the project management team, including taking responsibility for tasks outside of their normal day-to-day role, has been fantastic with all issues, risks and queries being resolved quickly and efficiently by the team.

KINTO first came to us with a very clear and concise presentation of what they had to offer us as a Fleet Management provider. The comprehensive solution presented to us was subsequently followed up by further presentations outlining all related costs together with details of how they could help us achieve our fleet objectives. With the help of a very committed KINTO team, we were able to complete the whole implementation journey, from concept right through to going live, within 3 months. We were very impressed with the professionalism shown to us throughout the whole process; in particular the capability of KINTO to implement plans effectively to solve any issues identified along the way. 11 months on they continue to provide us with a very professional service 24/7 and I have no hesitations in recommending KINTO to any other business.
