Clean Air Day

Clean Air Day, the UK’s largest air pollution campaign

Clean Air Zone Update

Today (20th June) is Clean Air Day, the UK’s largest air pollution campaign, and is part of the Government’s ambitious strategy to clean up our air and save lives.  Air pollution is one of the biggest threats to public health in the UK – behind only cancer, obesity and heart disease.

Clean Air Zones (CAZ) are part of the Clean Air Strategy, designed to cut pollution and encourage people to drive less polluting vehicles, including electric and more modern petrol and diesels – which of course has an impact on our industry.

Whilst UK businesses are keen to support the Government’s ambitious plans by reducing their carbon footprint, the new Clean Air Zone regulations will have a direct impact on fleet operations. Sourcing and affording CAZ-compliant vehicles poses a significant challenge to fleet managers and many company fleets are at risk of facing fines when the new regulations come into place.
